Custom made for us by Art Spectrum - a family owned Australian Art supplier that still makes their own paints, pastels and art supplies and journals. 

The paper is beautiful 110gsm drawing cartridge, there are 120 pages / 60 sheets in each journal and they have a metal spiral bound spine so that you can fully open on itself for drawing, sketching and recording your thoughts, visual memories - or just write in something beautiful. The Journals have a heavy card backing board with a protective plastic cover.

They are manufactured and designed in Australia by this amazing family company (operating since 1966)

A visit to their factory was inspiring. To see raw pigments in powder form, bags of magenta, burnt umber and ultra marine and then at the end of the most intriguing pastel blending machine, colours were checked to ensure the colour was perfect - then the pastels were individually moulded like colourful parfaits. Once set or dried enough they are then hand wrapped and carefully packed by hand into boxes for sale. This is just one product of dozens still proudly made in Victoria.
