Set in one of Piper Streets original Goldrush buildings, Rundell & Rundell Chairmakers is a reflection of a traditional trading store, an atelier of fine traditional goods, beautifully crafted by hand.
Glen's windsor chairs, shaker oval boxes, and traditionally made household items sit amongst wooden milking buckets, Scottish twine, fine Swedish axes, French preserving jars, Harris Tweed shooters caps from England and wooden jewellery and leather bags.
Rundell & Rundell is also a showcase for other artisans work. Beautiful hand carved wooden spoons, handmade chair making tools, industrial loft lamps sit alongside glassware, organic handspun knits and lost wax caste bronze sculpture. Local artworks often adorn the walls and unusual historical finds from early last century create added interest.
Where traditional hand-crafted goods are unable to be sourced locally, Glen and Lisa bring in the finest quality items from traditional makers in the UK, Europe Scandinavia and the USA. Handmade horse hair and goat hair brushes from Berlin and traditional gardening products from Holland and Great Britain make Rundell and Rundell a purveyor of the finest quality wares that are made to last generations.
