Jögge Sundqvist - A day of traditional Swedish Carving, Slöyd and Shrinkpots. Monday 11 March 2024. 

A brief description of what this master of slöyd has to offer at his only Australian workshop during his visit for the Lost Trades Fair.

As for the course, the morning will start with a 4 hour workshop to make shrink jars/pots (approx 4 hours), then break for lunch. The afternoon will focus on traditional chip carving in the Scandinavian slöyd/craft style (approx 3 hours).

We will provide tools and timber, Jögge will bring special tools for specific Swedish slöyd techniques; he will also present his story and pictures of older Scandinavian crafts as inspiration during the course. It will certianly be a memorable experience for everyone.

Due to course preparation, international instructor and potential wait lists; if a position is cancelled less than two (2) weeks prior to the start date, we are sorry, but 50% of your deposit payment is not refundable. If the course is unable to run and is cancelled by us, 100% of your funds are refundable.
